Sky Valley High and Feels Like Home Out Now!
OGS Records is proud to present a re-release of Mudflat Walkers’ two records from a few years back! Sweet, earnest country music from the Skagit Valley.
Mudflat Walkers have been close cousins to the OGS family for years, playing many shows with Moongrass during the heady days of the early 2010s. Nowadays both the bands are defunct, but Matney Cook (driving force and primary songwriter for Mudflat Walkers) has joined with some of the Moongrass boys in Nobody’s Peach as well as producing her first solo record. More to come soon on both those releases!
Mudflat Walkers released debut ep Feels Like Home in 2013, and followed it up with the ambitious and more polished Sky Valley High in 2014. Neither record saw much digital distribution, and I’m very pleased to be able to make them more accessible!
I’m particularly fond of Sky Valley High, but I love all these songs, many of which have found their way into Nobody’s Peach’s live sets. These records are part of the history of the OGS Records family, and I’m glad to be able to both archive and share them with you all.
These two records are available to download at mudflatwalkers.bandcamp.com and to stream on spotify, apple music, and wherever else you do your streaming. CDs of Sky Valley High will be made available for purchase this fall/winter, when I get my act together and start up the physical shop.
