Matney Cook

Matney Cook is a singer/songwriter from the Skagit Valley in the pacific northwest. Currently living in the Seattle area, she has led bands like Mudflat Walkers and Nobody’s Peach in addition to her frequent solo performances.

Matney has a vocal style inspired by jazz but influenced by honky tonk and folk. Her writing style from song to song varies from waltzy tunes and heart felt love songs to uplifting ballads and sassy country numbers.

Her debut album, Natural Time, is being released April 2, 2021 on OGS Records. The album is a culmination of years of writing and recording, produced with Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, REM) and recorded at several studios throughout Northwest Washington with help from many friends.
